Fish
& Chip Supper Evenings - By kind
permission of John and Jean Austin, two more Fish & Chip evenings
will be held at Hoppers Hall, Datchworth to raise funds
towards the completion of All Saints’ church hall.

The suppers will be on Friday 20th (nearly sold out) and 27th February
2004 (tickest available) at 7.30pm and
will cost £15 per person. This will include fish & chips, a
glass of wine and dessert, all consumed in friendly surroundings.
Similar evenings were held last year when a very good time was had by
all and tickets were quick to sell. The maximum number is 25 people per
evening – so book early with Bob King

Tour Israel - 20 to 31 March 2004 - A
Shoresh Study Tour - Rev Ray
Lockhart and his wife Jill will be hosting a tour to Israel in March
this year. Ray was
previously Rector of St. Martin's Church Knebworth and later Rector of
Christchurch, Jerusalem. It is a recommended tour as both Ray and Jill
have an intimate knowledge of Israel.

Lent
Course - So that we have numbers for catering, please let
Anne Charles (01438 812098) about joining this year’s lent course – on
each Tuesday evening in March. The five sessions will be held at the
school starting at 7.30pm with supper and will replace Evening Talk
Time during Lent. We will be
using the York Courses Lent material, this year entitled -
A Quiz Night, also to
raise funds for the completion of All Saints’ church hall, will be held
on the evening of Saturday 27th March 2004. Please book the date in
your diary and start getting your team organised.

Slim in aid of the new church hall. Incase you haven’t
noticed, it has started. The independently verified weigh-in has taken
place and Rev Mike Shaw and Tony Charles are loosing weight. Please be
generous with sponsoring these three good causes!

Abbey
Teas – We have another opportunity to put on teas in the
St Albans Abbey Refrectory, half the proceeds going towards the costs
of completing All Saints’ church hall and the other to the Abbey.
