We extend a warm welcome to all our visitors, especially to Daniel Tyler being baptised today, his family and friends and to the Rev Mike Shaw who will be leading our worship this Sunday - click here to read the text of Mike's sermon for this week.

Our altar is open to members of all denominations. If you do not wish to receive Communion please come to receive a blessing and certainly bring any children with you for a blessing.

Coffee – do stay for a coffee and a chat after the service.

Today’s readings:      Ezekiel 43.27 – 44.4
                                              1 Corinthians 13.1-13
                                              Luke 2.22-40

Today’s collect: Almighty and ever-living God, clothed in majesty, whose beloved Son was this day presented in the Temple, in substance of our flesh: grant that we may be presented to you with pure and clean hearts, by your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen

Newcomers To The Village - If you are new to the Village or know someone who has moved here in the last 2 years, since our last Newcomers Party, do let Mary Coleman know  -

Telephone - 01438 814228 or e-mail magazine.ed@allsaintsdatchworth.info.

She also asks that, if you are submitting a name to her, you check that the newcomer is not someone who has just moved within the village.  This does happen as we can not know everyone in Datchworth It can be very embarrassing and, in some cases, upsetting to issue an invitation to a so called newcomer only to be informed that they have lived in the village for 19 years or so!

Unfortunately, owing to the hard drive on Mary's last computer going down, she lost the names she had on her list (13 as it happens).  She would be greatly obliged if the folk who have already given her names could let her know again. She does apologise for having to ask you to do this and says, "in future I will ensure that I copy my list onto a floppy disk to be on the safe side!".

Christian Aid – New co-ordinator for Datchworth is needed urgently. Please contact Anne Charles – 01438 812098. Our best wishes to Betty Clark who has had to stand down due to ill health.

Talking Books – If you know of anyone who could make use of some Talking Books please call Peter Brown on 01438 814234
