We extend a warm welcome to all our visitors, especially to the Rev Mervyn Terrett who will be leading our worship this morning.

Our altar is open to members of all denominations. If you do not wish to receive Communion please come to receive a blessing and certainly bring any children with you for a blessing.

Coffee – do stay for a coffee and a chat after the service in the new church hall.

Today’s readings:        Acts 16.16-34
                                               Revelation 22.12-14,16,17,20,21
                                               John 17.20-26

Today’s collect: O God the King of glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven: we beseech you, leave us not comfortless, but send your Holy Spirit to strengthen us and exalt us to the place where our Saviour Christ is gone before, who is alive and reigns with you,  in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.  Amen

Help needed to provide a welcoming cup of coffee in the hall for wedding guests on Saturday June 12th (yes Datchworth Fete day!), 12 noon to 1pm as the guests arrive and then 1.30pm to 2pm after the service. This is in support of hiring the hall to wedding parties as a way of raising funds to cover building and running costs. Please try to fit this in before dashing to help / spend at the fete – see Alison or call her on 01438 816874.

The New Church Hall CurtainsHave you seen them yet? Aren’t they great. A really big thank you to Linda & Mike Hall who donated the lovely material and to Diana Glanville and her All Saints curtain hemmers that made them.
